Week 2 - Morning Prayer - Day of the Most Holy Trinity

INVITATORY

HYMN
Vol. X, February 8, 1911

Love, love, you alone speak,
for being love
you know how to speak about it.

Do you want me to speak to you of love?
Listen, my beloved child,
my life is of love.

If I breathe, I love you;
if my heart beats,
my heartbeat says to you love, love.
I am crazy with love for you.

If I move, I add love to you,
with love I flood you,
with love I surround you,
with love I caress you,
I shoot arrows of love to you.

With love I dart you,
with love I allure you,
with love I nourish you,
with love I consume you
and pointed darts I send to your heart.

Glory and love be to God the Father,
to Jesus and to the Holy Spirit,
in the unity of their love. Amen.

Ant. 1 This is what I want from you: love, not the thought of sin.

Psalm 1 Vol. VII, January 5, 1907

Some souls are scrupulous about everything
and they are afraid that everything is sin;
and so the soul comes to a stop
along the road of holiness.

True and trustworthy holiness, Jesus says,
consists in receiving
as specialties of divine love,
everything that could happen to the soul,
or that the soul could do,
even the most indifferent thing.

For example, if it were to find a food
that is enjoyable or else distasteful.
It is a specialty of love in the tastiness,
realizing Jesus produces
that taste in the food,
because he loves the soul so much
that he gives it pleasure even in material things.

It is a specialty of love in the distastefulness,
recognizing that he loves the soul so much
that he gives it that displeasure
to make it become like him
in mortification.

A specialty of divine love if it is humiliated,
if it is exalted, if it is healthy or if it is sick,
if it is poor or if it is rich.
A specialty of love is breathing
life, speech, everything, everything.

So, the soul must receive the wave of God’s love
and it must give to God the wave of its own love.
Oh, what a sanctifying bath this wave of love is!

It purifies the soul and makes it holy.
It makes it progress without even realizing it.
The soul lives more the life of heaven than of earth.

Glory be to the Father…

Ant. 1 This is what I want from you: love, not the thought of sin.

Ant. 2 The soul must not look at how much or how little it does, but rather if it is the Will of God.

Psalm 2 Vol. VIII, April 5, 1908

All my holiness - The Blessed Virgin Mary says –
came forth from within the word Fiat.

I never acted on my own, not even for a breath,
a step or an action.
Absolutely everything came
from within the Will of God –
my food and everything else.

This produced such holiness in me,
riches, glories and honors,
not human but divine.

So, the more the soul
is united, becomes one with the Will of God,
so much more can it be said to be holy,
so much more it is loved by God.

So, the soul must not look at
how much or how little it does,
but rather if it is what God wants.

Glory be to the Father…

Ant. 2 The soul must not look at how much or how little it does, but rather if it is the Will of God.

Ant. 3 When uncreated love finds that the soul is all love, then it absorbs created love into itself.

Psalm 3 Vol. VIII, July 14, 1907

It is true that confession remits sins,
but the safest and surest thing
to avoid purgatory is love.

So, the predominant passion in the soul must be love:
thoughts, words, movements, everything must be love.
Everything must be embraced by this love.

And so, when uncreated love finds everything love,
it absorbs created love into itself.
In fact, what does purgatory do
if not fill the voids of love
that exist in the soul?

Once it fills these voids
it sends the soul to heaven.
If these voids don’t exist,
then, it’s something that doesn’t regard purgatory.

Glory be to the Father…

Ant. 3 When uncreated love finds that the soul is all love, then it absorbs created love into itself.

SHORT READING Vol. VIII, August 22, 1907

“My children, in order for grace to be able to freely enter into the soul, the soul must be in the world as if there were only God and the soul; because any other thought or thing that places itself between the soul and grace, keeps grace from entering into the soul and the soul from receiving grace.”

RESPONSORIAL Vol. VIII, June 22, 1907

G. The Will of God *triumphs over everything and sweetens everything.

E. The Will of God *triumphs over everything and sweetens everything.

G. It contains such power that nothing can resist it.

E. *it triumphs over everything and sweetens everything.
