Week 4 - Morning Prayer - Day of the Most Holy Eucharist

INVITATORY

HYMN
Vol. XXXV, January 30, 1938

How can it be that God,
that his Will, three times holy,
creates himself in the act of the creature?

Oh, as soon as he sees it is about to act,
he runs and takes this act in his hands,
he purifies it, forms it and clothes it with light!

Then he looks to see if that act
can receive his holiness and beauty,
if he can enclose it in his immensity!

And when he has done all this,
he kisses and embraces it,
and pours himself out entirely upon it!

Then, with indescribable solemnity and love,
he pronounces his all-powerful Fiat there,
and creates himself in the act of the creature! Amen.

Ant. 1 How beautiful is the beginning of the day of someone who lives in our Fiat!

Psalm 1 Vol. XXXV, December 14, 1937

Just as nature has its day for human life,
where all the actions of life take place,
so too, may Divine Will forms its day
in the depths of the creature
that lives in my Will.

As it begins to do its acts in the Divine Will,
calling on it to be its life,
so does its day begin,
forming the brightest dawn
in the depths of its soul.

This dawn summons its power and renews in the soul
the power of the Father, the wisdom of the Son
and the virtue and love of the Holy Spirit.

So, it begins its day
together with the Most Holy Trinity,
who descends into the least little acts
and hidden places of the creature,
to live together with it and do whatever it does.

This dawn drives off all the soul’s darkness,
turning everything into light for it;
and it watches carefully like a vigilant guard,
so that all its acts can receive
the light of the Divine Will.

This dawn is God’s first rest
in the room of the soul.
It is the beginning of the eternal day
where the life of the Supreme Being begins
together with the creature.

How beautiful is the beginning of the day
of someone who lives in our Fiat!
It is the enchantment of all heaven!

Glory be to the Father….

Ant. 1 How beautiful is the beginning of the day of someone who lives in our Fiat!

Ant. 2 The acts done in the Divine Will are filled with unheard-of wonders.

Psalm 2 Vol. XXXV, December 14, 1937 - II

Then, as it goes on to do its second acts
in the Divine Will,
the sun of my eternal Will rises.

The fullness of its light is so great
that it fills all the earth, visits all hearts,
and says “good morning” to all the heavenly court,
bringing them light and new joys.

This light is overflowing with love,
adoration, thanksgiving, gratitude,
glory and blessing.

But whose are they?
They belong to the creature,
that made the sun
rise and shine on everyone
by the act it did in my Will.

So, everyone finds in this creature
someone who has loved God for them,
and worshipped, thanked,
blessed and glorified him too.

Each one finds just
what he was supposed to do toward God.
Someone who has made good for everyone!

An act in my Will must enclose everything,
otherwise it could not be called an act done in my Will.
It has the power and capacity
to make good for everyone
and to do good to all.

These acts are full of unheard-of wonders,
worthy of our creative work.

Glory be to the Father…..

Ant. 2 The acts done in the Divine Will are filled with unheard-of wonders.

Ant. 3 We want to find in the creature the love we have given it, our divine qualities, everything!

Psalm 3 Vol. XXXV, December 14, 1937

As it goes back to do its third act in our Will,
it forms the midday of our eternal sun in the creatures.

And do you know what it gives us in this noonday sun?
It prepares the meal for us.

Do you know what it gives us for food?
The love and the divine qualities that we gave to it.

Everything bears the mark of our beauty,
of our pure and chaste perfumes;
and we like it so much that we take our fill.

Being in our Will,
the creature is owner of all of our goods.
So, if something is not suitable for us,
it takes whatever is needed from our treasures,
and prepares us the finest meal,
worthy of our supreme majesty.

And we invite all the angels and saints
to join us in this heavenly meal,
so they can enjoy and feast with us
on the love that the creature
living in our Will has given us.

Then, after we have dined together,
the other acts that it does in our Will
serve to form heavenly music, songs of love,
the most beautiful scenes,
the repetition of our works that are always in act.

In a word, the creature always keeps us occupied.
And when it has finished doing
all of its actions in our Will,
we give it rest, and we rest with it.
And after resting we give it the opportunity to work,
so that it can make another new day begin, and so on.

Glory be to the Father…..

Ant. 3 We want to find in the creature the love we have given it, our divine qualities, everything!

SHORT READING Vol. XXXV, November 29, 1937

“My daughter, how unbearable it is to love and not be loved! How I would like everyone to know that with my love I sustain them and embrace them.
I love them and give them breath. I love them and give them their heartbeat. I love them and give them use of the word. I love and give them their steps. I love them and give them movement, thought, food and water. Everything they are and receive is the effect of my love that flows. So, isn’t it a horrendous ingratitude not to love me? It makes our love suffer martyrdom because we love but are not loved.”
