Week 3 - Night Prayer - Day of the Angels

G. Oh God, come to reign in us.

E. Lord, let your Will come quickly.

Glory be to the Father...

HYMN
To what lofty heights is the blessed soul raised by each new knowledge it acquires of the most holy Divine Will!

As your Will is manifested and communicated, it calls from nothingness all things, it calls to light all beings, it forms new wonders never before known.

What marvels, what order! The angels themselves are amazed, and in their rapture they unceasingly confess, "Holy, holy, holy, most high God". Amen.

Ant. God created in man his own dwelling, just sa he created the earthly Eden for man to dwell in.

Psalm
For as many times as the soul enters the Divine Will to pray, to work, to love, and so on, so many ways does it open between the Creator and the creature.

Seeing that the creature sets out to go to it, the divinity opens up its ways to meet with its creature.

In this meeting, it copies the virtues of its Creator, and absorbs into itself ever new divine life.

It plunges deeper into the eternal secrets of the Supreme Will, and everything it does is no longer human in it, but divine.

This divine activity in it forms a heaven of gold where the Divinity, pleased to find its activity in its creature, strolls around, waiting to receive its divine acts from the creature, to then open other roads into it Divinity.

Glory be to the Father...

Ant.

SHORT READING
"Go on! You have reached the beginning, and to do this you must pass through all generations. You must keep them all in sight, to bring them to your Creator. Your beginning is God, and you must reach that point in eternity when the Eternal One created man, to receive all the bonds of creation and bring together again all the harmonies that can exist between Creator and creature."

RESPONSORIAL
G. If you only knew how much you lose *each time you stop.

E. If you only knew how much you lose *each time you stop.

G. You deprive me of a divine honor,

E. *each time you stop.

G. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.

E. If you only knew how much you lose *each time you stop.

Ant. Blessed is the soul that lives in the Divine Will; all generations will call it blessed!

Canticle

Ant.

PRAYER
O God most high, by your light and by all the good you do in filling heaven and earth with your Eternal Will, we ask you to make us always live in it, so that we can correspond to you for every good you have given to us.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

May the Lord put an end to the night of the human will, and let us rest in the divine.
Amen.
